Water paints of Indian women
Back with a new post showing waterpaints . This has been there in my drafts for a long time. I was just waiting to post dasara related posts.
There are many more Indian women paints to be done. Glimpse of few of them.
Although I have tried oil paints , enjoy water paints. Enjoy feast of colors. I am sure to post many more with new songs.
Some other views of the painting
Kindly leave your comments after reading this post. Pleeeeeaase..:)

Dasara gombe/bommalu/golu 2010
Yet again here I am with Dasara dolls for this year. The year was more fun. Although preparation for this year was very bad, I could manage to keep the dolls well in time.
I went to Bombe mane in Mysore and bought few dolls. The model of mysore and dasara procession has been showcased very beautifully.
Some of the dolls are hand made and most of them were purchased. Hopefully you will enjoy these photos.
The cricket stadium is the main attraction this time. Myself and my sister spent a day making this stadium. Hope you enjoy the photos.
Have to mention that big Lord Krishna was given by my grandma to me. This is a piece which has been there from 70 years with them. I painted it and made new.Isn't it cute?
Let me know how it looks?!

I could not anyway go near her sweet voice. This is my try to make justice to the song. Hope you like it.Listen to my song here

Warli painting and paper art
Long waiting in my draft, here is my work on terracota pot. I had visited one store where there was warli painted pots. Inspired by them, got this terracota pot from pottery town. I have painted these warli figures with acrylic colors.
Painted another pot in blue which I gifted to my sister. Do let me know how this has come out. If you want to see any improvement, do let me know.Apart from this I tried paper art. Inspired by tiny girl suits(which were got from a craft shop here), created this theme. I have created few more girl suits on my own which are hanging with cute little hangers. Aren't they cute.

Kabhi Shaam Dhale... 'Sur'
I am back with a good post....guess...yes I am posting a new song today. Finally could record , mix and publish this post.
This post follows a promise of a song to many readers of my blog. I have been busy with work, music classes and other craft and paintings...
The song is a hit number from the movie 'Sur'. All the songs in this movie are great. Singer of this song is Mahalaxmi Iyer. I admire her voice and the sharpness in the voice.
I have come across people who have good voice, want to sing but hesitate and do not know how to practice. To all those, my suggestion is to keep singing in your full voice(without hesitation)at home. This opens up your voice and it sounds original :)(Do not over practice or over strain your voice)
Without much stories....here is the song.
Kabhi Shaam Dhale...(Download)
Would love to hear all your comments...pleeaase..

Hand painted diyas and small harvest of methi
Here is my new painting venture into hand painted terracota diyas. These diyas I started collecting from last year.
I went to mysore in search of few dolls for dasara. I got to know that every year an exhibition of lights(deepa)happens around deepawali season. I went again to collect them at 'Deepa Soundarya'
The diya in the photo I got it from a street in Bangalore last year. They sell variety of diyas during deepawali(diwali) season. I got this cute sunflower shaped diya. I got it lighted few times. As it becomes black when lighted, it is better to keep them painted as collection pieces.

Meanwhile got a small harvest of fenugreek leaves(methi) from my kitchen garden. Isn't it cute?

I got this tiny little plant in the picture below from the bonsai shop. He is very kind hearted to gift these small little cuties with plants I buy. They are just thumb size pots. Keep an eye for more bonsai, art and singin on my blog ;-)

I am waiting to reveal my collection of diyas in coming posts. Keep watching!!

Dreamy bonsai and my colored madhubani
Aaah....it makes me so happy to publish this post. I have been thinking of buying a bonsai tree and adding to my plants collection.
I happened to discover these plants at a place in Jayanagar when I went in search of a special grain. I perfectly got my terracota things with inhome pots and plants collection together! I was dreaming to get pots in small containers after I read few posts of Arch. The place is called 'Blooms Ivy'
You may be wondering why I am not posting any song! I have become so busy that I am not finding enough time to mix them. But will definitely post few new songs in my future posts.
Here is a peek into my bonsai collection.

After I got these two beautiful plants, I got this cutie little money plant as gift.

The lighting was so awesome that I took photo of my colored Madhubani with cute bonsais. It is such a fun right?!

I will be waiting to know what you think about my collection and post. :)

Here is Madhubani

This is my new venture into Madhubani painting. Today I am posting the unpainted version of madhubani.
I got inspiration from my new pen which I got from Wynad. This is handcarved and it writes so smooth that Madhubani sketching was made for it.
Here is the full sketch of my first Madhubani design.
Will post the colored version in my next post.

Experiments with the brush
After very busy and hectic schedules, thought let me atleast continue few posts on my blog.
All these days was busy in few programmes, practicing for them and running around to my music classes. So had too many projects running around. After many days of sketching and leaving the canvas empty without paint, thought will try a new art form, Warli painting.
Here is my work with water colors. Initially thought of completing the art with colour pencils. Later gave a finish with the brush, as they were water coloured pencils.
Though the post is off topic, will continue posting more art forms and songs ;)
